Dell unveils thin 14-inch XPS z laptop

Wish that I own one!! :|

Dell is adding a 14-inch model to its new line of thin XPS z series laptops--though availability, for now, will be limited to China.
The 4.4-pound XPS 14z boasts a borderless--or bezel-free--display yielding a design that's similar to a 13-inch laptop. And Dell squeezes an optical drive into a form factor that's just less than an inch thick.

Like the earlier XPS 15z, the 14z has Intel Core i5 and Core i7 Sandy Bridge processors. It also comes with an Nvidia GeForce GT 520M graphics option, USB 3.0 ports, and a 1366x768 HD LED display.

Availability is in China only and is being launched ahead of the country's Golden Week holiday. Availability in other regions, including the U.S., will be announced in the coming weeks.
By announcing in China first, Dell is acknowledging the enormity of that market.
In China a model with an i5 processor, 4G RAM, 500GB HDD, and 1GB video card will be priced at 7,699 yuan. Information about pricing and sales in the U.S. was not immediately available.

Google+ Climbs Up Social Networking Ladder

According to Loek Essers of IDG News, Google+ rose from the 54th most-visited site social networking to the eighth, receiving nearly 15 million visits in one week. This number is likely to be larger because Hitwise's data does not include mobile traffic or traffic from the Google notification bar.

Google+ is still far behind the numbers one and two on the charts. Facebook leads the pack with 1.7 billion total visits in one week, followed by YouTube with a little over 530 million. Twitter came in third with 33 million visits in one week.

The fast growth of Google+ from its launch in early July to last week "illustrates how quickly the cycle from 'innovator' and 'early adopter' phase, to the 'early majority' and 'late majority' can occur," Heather Dougherty director of research at Hitwise said in a blog post. She also noted that early adopters still account for a large share of Google+'s traffic.

" Looks like that Google+ is one its way to top."

Oh my Flash!!

I have this subject that deals with images, graphics especially animations.
This subject is FLASH.
At this moment I'm doing my project for this subject and its a AQUARIUM.
As an IT student, we should focus more on dynamic websites and FLASH is one of characteristics of a dynamic website.
This subject is very cool, fun and interesting because this is where your creativity comes out.
But sometimes it's hard because you need to deal with pairing of colors, the designs and many more.

So for those out there who wants to learn about flash, there are lots of websites that offers tutorials.
ENJOY!!

I'm so loving PINK..

PINK.PINK.PINK

Dreaming that all my stuffs are all PINK.
Ever time that I go shopping I want to see PINK stuffs like bags, shoes and every girl's stuffs.
So while browsing the web, I tried to look for pictures that I wished that I owned that.
So here it is.

This would be definitely my dream house..

Next is the living room, this type of living room is so girly. So simple but the color is refreshing.

This picture is the Dining Room. The designs are elegant because of the furniture's
and still the color is refreshing because it's
a combination of  pastel colors; baby pink and bubblegum blue.

Lastly, my most favorite part of the house, the Bedroom.
Having the combination of pink and black makes it girly look yet elegant.
The chandelier with black ribbons and the drawing of Eiffel tower makes it more elegant.

About IBM Commuter Pain Survey

The Commuter Pain survey is conducted by IBM to better understand consumer attitudes around traffic congestion as the issue reaches crisis proportions around the world and higher levels of auto emissions stir environmental concerns. These events are impacting communities around the world, where governments, citizens and private sector organisations are looking beyond traditional remedies like additional roads and greater access to public transportation to reverse the negative impacts of increased road congestion.
This is IBM’s fourth annual Commuter Pain survey. IBM began conducting the survey in the United States in 2008 and expanded it to 20 global cities in 2010. Findings from the Commuter Pain survey will be used to assess citizen concerns about traffic and commuter issues; enhance smarter transportation solutions such as traffic prediction intelligent tolling systems, road user charging, advanced traffic management and integrated fare management and serve as a basis for pioneering new approaches to improving transportation.
IBM is working with cities, governments and others around the world to make their transportation systems smarter. Smarter transportation systems (1:56 min) can help traffic and public transit systems flow more smoothly, anticipate and improve congestion in advance, reduce emissions and increase the capacity of infrastructure.

Tumblr raises $85 million as growth continues

Microblogging provider Tumblr has raised $85 million in a new round of financing.
Greylock Partners and Insight Venture Partners led the financing round, according to a statement sent to CNET today. Virgin chief Richard Branson, along with Spark Capital and Sequoia Capital, also contributed to the round. Tumblr did not disclose its valuation, but the company said that it plans to use the cash to "continue to scale our business and give real focus to the further development of Tumblr."

The New York Times earlier reported on the story.

Tumblr's $85 million in new cash is a major step up in investment for the company. Prior to this round, the firm had only raised about $40 million in several different rounds of financing. Its last major round came last November when it raised $30 million From Union Square Ventures and Spark Capital, among others.

Since its launch over four years ago, Tumblr has watched its growth rates soar. According to the Greylock Partners, Tumblr generates 13 billion pageviews each month. What's more, the company is closing in on 30 million blogs, and has seen over 45 million posts added to the site today alone. Recently, Tumblr announced that it reached 10 billion posts since its inception.
Nielsen earlier this month helped shed even more light on Tumblr's growth, saying that the company "is an emerging player in social media." In the past year alone, Nielsen says, Tumblr has nearly tripled its "audience."
